Altec is proud to call Birmingham, Alabama its home for almost a century. From our humble beginning in the heart of the South’s steel city to becoming a worldwide leader in manufacturing, the community of Birmingham has helped forge Altec into the company it is today.

Birmingham is home to Altec’s original 1929 truck body manufacturing facility, where we continue to design, fabricate and finish Altec custom bodies to exact customer specifications. While we’ve evolved and grown over the years, we never forget that our present success is a direct result of our past.
