Dixon Operations

Opened in 1986, Altec Dixon is a final assembly facility that specializes in high-efficiency fleet and custom bodies to meet the unique needs of customers on the West Coast.
In 2011, Altec invested in an extensive renovation at Dixon to better support our West Coast customers while increasing our capacity to assemble Altec’s full equipment line and more custom-built products.
Dixon is also a hub for Altec’s electrification solutions. The facility installs Altec equipment on chassis that run on alternative fuels such as CNG, LNG and propane — demonstrating our commitment to providing industry-leading, high efficiency and environmentally friendly vehicles that meet our customers’ performance needs.
In line with Altec’s sustainability goals, the facility includes reflective roofing material, sky lights, a high-efficiency cooling system and a campus-wide recycling program.
