Elizabethtown is home to Altec’s highest volume manufacturing plant. Built in 1997, E’town manufactures equipment for the lights and signs, telecommunications and electric utility industries.

Because Altec believes in precise and efficient manufacturing techniques, E’town’s equipment line is stability tested on a hydraulic tilt table. This technology allows our smaller trucks to be slope tested to varying degrees to ensure we produce the safest, most reliable pieces of aerial equipment in the industry.

Each piece of telecom equipment is tested for quality and endurance through real world simulations to ensure our cable placing units can withstand the work performed each day by our customers. Altec confidently stands by our products that are field tested and ready to work.

Centrally located in Kentucky between Lexington, Louisville and Nashville, Elizabethtown is a growing town with deep cultural and historical roots. The Bluegrass State is famous for its horse racing heritage with landmarks such as Churchill Downs and Keenly Racetrack.
