Altec’s first electric utility products, including the original Altec Digger Derrick, were engineered and manufactured in the 1970s in our St. Joseph factory. Today, it’s home to Altec’s most diverse and extensive equipment production facility and Altec’s largest manufacturing division. St. Joe produces a wide range of equipment, from aerials and digger derricks to backyard products with working heights ranging from 36 to over 100 feet. Every product from each arena Altec serves is designed and tested by the St. Joe based design assurance group to ensure the most reliable, field-tested equipment is delivered to our customers every day.

Located 30 minutes north of Kansas City, St. Joseph offers a small town feel with big-city benefits. St. Joseph is the sixth largest city in Missouri and is positioned to serve a seven county area in northwest Missouri and northeast Kansas.
