Overview
Customers can request unit specific and/or tailored on-site training programs. Additionally, customers can participate in classes held throughout the year at Altec Service Centers across the United States and Canada.

Hydraulic Systems
Understanding hydraulic schematics, components, and flow.

Electrical Systems
Understanding wire-line drawings, components, and DVOM usage.
Preventive Maintenance
Review the Altec Preventive Maintenance Checklist and procedures to perform maintenance.
Troubleshooting
Scenarios are used to explain troubleshooting processes and theories of operation.

Unit Specific Training
These unit specific trainings offer mechanics an overview of internal machine functions. Classes are standardized based on Altec Maintenance Manuals and cover an introduction to the unit, maintenance safety, unit operation, preventive maintenance, unit inspection, and minor troubleshooting and repairs. Upon completion of the program, trainees should be able to successfully and efficiently perform scheduled maintenance on equipment.

Suggested Pre-Reqs
Before enrolling in unit specific trainings, Altec recommends technicians attend Altec Customer Boot Camp, enroll in Altec virtual maintenance training or otherwise have a basic aptitude of electrical and mechanical systems.
