Overview
This training builds on the similarities of Altec’s multiplexed-controlled, electric-over-hydraulic digger derricks, The DL/DM or DL-B/DM-B derrick is the foundational “building block” of this school for the first two-and-a-half days. Trainees will learn unit-specific knowledge, best safety, maintenance, and inspection standards, and the theoretical and practical skills necessary for minor troubleshooting and repairs. Then the remaining units are reviewed in building-block fashion for their major similarities and specific differences. Upon completion of this course, technicians will be able to demonstrate applied hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical knowledge of Altec’s multiplexed-controlled derricks.
