Overview
This training builds on the similarities of Altec’s pilot operated cranes. The AC38 crane is used as the foundation of this school for the first two and a half days. Trainees will learn unit-specific knowledge, best safety, maintenance and inspection standards, and the theoretical and practical skills necessary for minor troubleshooting and repairs. The next two days is spent going over the radio remote, Greer and Hirschmann systems. Trainees will learn the correct way to calibrate each system as well as best practices for troubleshooting each of these systems. Upon completion of this course, technicians will be able to demonstrate applied hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical knowledge of Altec’s pilot operated controlled cranes.
