Effer Knuckle Boom


Two-day course, (16 hours)

Effer Knuckle Boom cranes use an electric-over- hydraulic control system, a data monitor unit (DMU) for load monitoring and the Effer Stability System (ESS). Additional options include radio remote control, overload and operator protection, manual and hydraulic swing up stabilizer legs and a hydraulic dump bed. Effers come in a variety of sizes with a lifting capacity ranging from 2 ton meters to 300 ton meters.

Overview

This training is designed for the development of technicians by reinforcing best maintenance safety practices and introducing unit specific knowledge. Students will be given the opportunity to learn both the theoretical and practical skills needed to perform preventative maintenance inspections and minor troubleshooting and repairs. Upon completion of this training, students will be able to demonstrate applied knowledge of the unit’s hydraulic, mechanical and electrical systems.
