AT JEMS Unit Specific Training

(Available on the AT3X-G and AT40-G models.)
One-day course, (8 hours)
The AT JEMS is a mild hybrid system that uses lead acid battery technology and stored electrical energy to power the aerial device, tools and exportable power, and provide cab comfort. The energy storage system is recharged by plugging into shore power or by the truck’s internal combustion engine.
Overview
This course is intended to provide technicians with an understanding of the fundamental operational principles on the AT JEMS mild hybrid system. The course includes hands-on exercises in diagnosis and repairs of the AT JEMS hybrid system. Various tools are used along with schematics to test system and component functionality. After completing the course, trainees should have a better understanding of the electrical and hydraulic components used in the hybrid system and be better able to test and diagnose the system as needed.
