JEMS DC Drive Unit Specific Training

(Available on AT200A and AT235/237 models.)
In combination with unit-specific training
The JEMS DC Drive is a mild hybrid system that uses lead acid battery technology and stored electrical energy to power the aerial device, tools and exportable power. The energy storage system is recharged by plugging into shore power, by the truck’s internal combustion engine, or auxiliary generator.
Overview
This course supplements the unit-specific training to provide technicians with an understanding of the fundamental operational principles of the JEMS DC Drive mild hybrid system. The course includes hands-on exercises in diagnosis and repairs of the JEMS DC Drive hybrid system. Various tools are used along with schematics to test system and component functionality. After completing the course, trainees should have a better understanding of the electrical and hydraulic components used in the hybrid system and be better able to test and diagnose the system as needed.
