Altec CEO Urges Senate to Pass Budget Agreement

Birmingham, Ala., October 29, 2015 – Altec’s Chairman and CEO, Lee Styslinger III joined with other CEOs of America’s leading companies in supporting the two-year budget agreement passed this week by the House of Representatives and is urging the Senate to reach agreement on the legislation. Styslinger is a member of the Business Roundtable (BRT), an association of corporate leaders working to promote sound public policy to strengthen and grow the U.S. economy.

“The leadership demonstrated by House members in voting for the two-year budget and debt limit agreement will help lead toward economic stability”, said Styslinger. “It is an important first-step in helping the U.S. deal with its significant fiscal challenges. While far from perfect, this legislation will help support consumer confidence and generate business investment. It is now up to the Senate to act on this agreement in a bipartisan fashion. We encourage Congress and the Administration to continue to enact policies that will help lead toward much needed economic growth.”

Styslinger was a key member of George W. Bush’s Export Council and was responsible for advising the President on government programs that affected U.S. trade performance, export expansion and economic growth.

Business Roundtable is an association of chief executive officers of leading U.S. companies. BRT member companies produce $7.4 trillion in annual revenues and employ more than 16 million people. Member companies also invest $158 billion annually in research and development.

Altec is a leading equipment and service provider for the electric utility, telecommunications, contractor, lights and signs, and tree care markets. The company provides products and services in more than 100 countries throughout the world.
