NEW Heartland-225 Adds Height to Remote Controlled Tree Removal Product Line

The EC225-6S-FG is the second version of Heartland, Altec’s remote controlled tree removal device. Like Heartland, this unit was designed to allow operators to cut limbs and branches without ever having to leave the ground or touch a piece of the tree. This model provides an additional seven feet of cutting height and has a rear-mounted configuration, allowing operators to set-up 10 to 12 feet closer to the tree.

The EC225-6S-FG consists of a 33,000-gvwr Freightliner chassis, an Effer 225 6S crane, and a 360-degree, continuous-rotation grapple saw. It is operated completely by a radio remote control and can be set up quickly with a single operator. The unit is mounted on a flatbed body and is available with a 4X4 chassis or 4X2 chassis.

The unit can be equipped with a Puddle-Jumper package that includes Timbren springs, fender brush guards, grill brush guards and 42-inch flotation tires. A front bumper winch is also available as an option.

Altec designed this unit with safety and productivity in mind. In general, the owners of our remote controlled tree removal units report that they have doubled the amount of work for a day and with reduced manpower.
