Utility Expo 2025 Recap: Altec Leads in Safety and Innovation
Altec is proud to have completed another successful showing at Utility Expo. This event occurs every two years in Louisville, Kentucky, and welcomes utility professionals, construction contractors and others looking to learn more about the latest industry innovations, technologies and trends.
This year’s Utility Expo was the biggest yet with over 22,000 attendees, over 1,000 exhibitors and 1.5 million square feet of products and services.
The Latest Products
Altec welcomed customers to our exhibition space to learn more about the wide range of equipment and solutions we provide to the utility industry. Over 50 pieces of Altec equipment were on display, including the all-new AA55+ and AN55E-OC+. A generational update to one of Altec’s most popular models, the new AA/AN55+ includes advanced unit hydraulics and controls, standard platform-to-ground, easy-to-use lower control pendant and a host of other new features and updates. Altec’s new DX60E was also debuted at the show. This large distribution digger derrick offers two sets of M-frame outriggers with short jacking capability, radio remote controls and improved 360-degree steps on the pedestal for easy access to the seated controls.
Altec also unveiled its revolutionary EZ-Egress™ insulating platform system. This platform system provides dielectric protection, like a conventional platform with a liner, but allows the operator to enter and exit the platform through a door. This patented solution is brand-new to the industry and provides unprecedented convenience, efficiency and jobsite safety.
The Total Altec Value
Utility Expo attendees were also able to explore solutions including Altec Insights and Altec’s Jobsite Energy Management System. Altec Sentry’s Training Simulator returned, and visitors to the Altec building were able to visit Altec Supply at their new indoor tools and accessories display. Additionally, customers met with representatives from Altec Capital, NUECO, Global Rental, Altec Limited, Altec Worldwide, Sentry, JJ Kane and Fleet Services.
Each evening, Altec hosted customer appreciation events where customers enjoyed dinner, refreshments, exclusive giveaway items and special presentations, including a video thanking linemen for the work they did to restore power after the devastation from Hurricane Helene.
