Bucket Rescue Training/Qualification Summary
The Altec Sentry Bucket Rescue Training/Qualification Program offers training that is compliant with OSHA regulations and ANSI standards for the safe rescue of workers that are incapacitated or exposed to electric shock. Prior to qualifying in this Bucket Rescue training program you must read, understand and follow the medical services and first aid requirements found in the OSHA 29CFR1910.269 electric power generation, transmission and distribution section. In addition, the classroom presentation will review the different types of bucket rescue techniques as well as the basic equipment required for each type of bucket rescue. Qualifying with this program demonstrates that the student can perform a bucket rescue meeting the time requirements outlined in OSHA 29CFR1910.269. Upon successful completion of the qualifying test, participants will receive a certificate of qualification and wallet qualification card.
Bucket Rescue Training/Qualification Outline
Training for this program consists of a 1-hour presentation and a field qualification test. The classroom instruction will be immediately followed by Instructor Demonstration of the qualifying test. Each student will demonstrate the procedure and will be timed by an instructor. The student will have up to 4 minutes* to complete the rescue. The instructor will record the results and submit the records for the employers personnel files.
